This Privacy Policy explains how LMI Network, Inc. ("LMI Network," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects Personal Information in connection with the LMI Professionals directory platform and related services. By using the Service, you acknowledge that we will process your Personal Information as described here.

1. Information We Collect

Registration Information

Name, email address, password, and optional profile information. For professionals, this includes credentials, practice areas, and professional background.

Profile Data

Professional profiles may include education, certifications, languages, location, biography, and profile images uploaded by users.

Device and Technical Information

IP address, browser, OS, device identifiers, and basic event logs required for security and service delivery.

Cookies

We use only strictly necessary cookies and functional cookies. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies.

2. How We Use Personal Information

We use Personal Information to:

  • Set up and secure your account and authenticate you
  • Display professional profiles in search results and directory listings
  • Connect clients with verified legal professionals
  • Communicate about service-related matters (updates, notices, support)
  • Protect the Service and users, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with law

What we do not do

  • We do not sell or share Personal Information for advertising
  • We do not create behavioral profiles for marketing purposes
  • We do not train AI models on your personal data

3. How We Disclose Information

We disclose Personal Information only as needed to provide the Service or as required by law:

  • Service Providers: cloud hosting, security, storage, and email delivery under confidentiality obligations
  • Public Directory: professional profiles are displayed publicly to help clients find legal help
  • Legal: to comply with valid legal process; we limit disclosures to what is required
  • Business Transfers: in a merger, acquisition, or similar event, subject to continued protection

4. Data Retention

We retain Personal Information only for as long as necessary to provide the Service and meet legal obligations. Upon request and where technically feasible, we will delete or de-identify Personal Information, subject to legal holds and backup constraints.

5. Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have rights to:

  • Access a copy of your Personal Information
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete Personal Information
  • Request deletion (subject to legal obligations)
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Port data in a common, machine-readable format
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

6. International Data Transfers

We may transfer Personal Information across borders. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses) to protect Personal Information.

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided Personal Information, contact us and we will delete it.

We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect Personal Information, including encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access controls, and incident response procedures. No system is perfectly secure; use strong credentials and protect your account.

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notice or email, with a revised effective date. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
